The film went on floors without a title and after a while it was announced that it would be called Aegan inspired from the Sivapuranam. The crew had completed a schedule at Hong Kong successfully and would be proceeding further with it right now at various locales. Now the crew has announced that there would be a character of Ajith’s younger brother in the film and it would be Navdeep who had made an impressive debut with Arindhum Ariyamalum and Ilavattam. There would also be a heroine to accompany Navdeep and the unit is scouting for the same right now. Navdeep is a happy man for obvious reasons and avers that Aegan would surely be a turning point in his life.

The two have not shared screen space beyond that enrapturing dance number in Sivakasi. The two almost starred together in Kuruvi, but for reasons unknown, Nayan withdrew and Trisha took the spot. But having sampled the pair in the Sivakai song, fans having been waiting for Nayantara and Vijay to act together. And looks like that wish is soon to be fulfilled! The latest news making its rounds in the cine circle is that Nayan has signed on for a film to be directed by Prabhu Deva, which has Vijay in the lead! It appears to us that her sexy stint in Billa has created waves, landing the actress some terrific roles including the lead in Ajith’s next movie Aegan!

It is almost certain that Nayantara would be the heroine of Ajith’s next movie, ‘Egan’, directed by Raju Sundaram.

Many speculations were making rounds during last week, as Katrina Kaif pulled out from the project due to her Bollywood commitments. Shriya was among the front runners according to the rumour mills. The hot girl, who is said to have irked Ajith by her appearance in Vadivelu starrer ‘Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan’, could not make it.

Then it was said that Ileana, the sexy gal of Tollywood would make a comeback in Tamil with ‘Egan’. Finally it is learnt from the reliable sources that the hot girl, who sizzled in ‘Billa’ with her dare to bare attitude and stylish appearance, will pair up with Ajith. The successful pair is sure to create sensation among the audience.

The news, if confirmed, will be a double delight for Nayantara, who is slated to pair up with Superstar Rajinikanth in ‘Kuselan’.

Tail: Raju and Yuvan Shankar Raja have flown to Malaysia for composing the songs for ‘Egan’.

Nayantara was particularly more than careful to impresses her home technicians, when she appeared for a song sequence that was recently shot for the AMMA film ‘Twenty Twenty’. The actress, who charges around 50 lakhs for an item dance, appeared free of cost for the multi starrer. She was dancing for a song set to music by Suresh Peters, which featured all the young stars including Prithviraj, Indrajith, Jayasurya and Manikuttam. All the young heroes were much impressed with Nayantara's dealings as she was in the set, all the four days shooting till nine in the night, every day.
Nayantara even helped the production by using the caravan of Dileep, for the four days while she was in the sets. She maintained only three assistants for the film, than the usual half a dozen or more. She surprised everyone in the production department, by opting for a less expensive hotel to stay than the usual Taj, that she always prefers, when at Kochy.
The veteran director of the film Joshy, too was much impressed by her cooperation, and expressed his happiness to her. It was with the same director that Nayantara had a problem when they were shooting for a song for ‘Janman’. That time, following some confusion, she even walked out of the sets without appearing for the song, in which she was appearing as a guest star.

The Lal Jose super hit Malayalam film ‘Meesa Madhavan' was a special one due to many reasons. It was the film which established Dileep’s popularity at the box office. It created the hit pair of Kavya Madhavan and Dileep, who were seen in 12 more films, there after. It was also through this film that Jyothirmayi and singer Rimi Tomy made their mark in Mollywood.
The reason why the film is again in discussion is that, after seven years of its release, Kollywood had suddenly got a liking for the film ‘Meesa Madhavan' and they are planning to remake it in Tamil. Nayantara and 'Paruthi Veeran' fame Karthi were the first ones to approach to play the lead.
But the latest news suggests that Nayanthara is finding the role of Kavya in the film a bit heavy. She suggests that she will be happy enough to appear in the role that Jyothirmayi had done in the original.

In the last couple of years, the happiest happening for filmmakers in Mollywood is the ever increasing amounts that the films fetch as channel rights.
The superstar films are able to make around fifty to seventy lakhs as channels rights which come around one-third of their production costs. Mammootty’s bilingual 'Vande Matharam’ is one such film, that fetched around sixty five lakhs by selling the rights, even as the film is under making.
The recent hot property among Malayalam channels is Mammootty's 'Parunthu' which will start its shoot only by the next month. The hype in channel rights market is due to the recent news about Nayantara agreeing to be the heroine of this film.
If the makers of this film stick to their present plans, the super actress of South Indian cinema who is at the helm of her career after the super success of her film 'Billa', could be presented in Malayalam, after a gap of three years.

Lal Jose’s Meesa Madhavan, starring Dileep in the title role, based on the story of a thief, is the new film joining the list of remakes. Scripted by Ranjan Pramod, the original had Kavya Madhavan playing the female lead. A Tamil remake of the film is being planned to be directed by Prabhakaran and with Karthik and Nayantara in the lead. Nayantara, who is riding the success wave after her show-stopping glam makeover in Billa, has reportedly started charging more for her films.
The pretty actress is the reigning queen, both in Kollywood and Tollywood. After a hiatus of three years, the actress is back to Malayalam in Twenty:20, starring opposite Prithviraj
