Gopika added to Annan Thambi

Last week Gopika celebrated her birthday quietly at home in Ollur near Trichur. Suddenly out of the blue, she got a request from director Anwar Rasheed to do the heroine’s role in Mammootty’s Annan Thambi. Girly as she is called was in between a break of a Tamil film she was doing, but readily agreed to be the last minute replacement in this film. Next day she reported for the shoot at Pollachi.
Remember her Maayavi with Mammooka was 2007’s number one hit at the box-office. Gopika makes a fine pair with Mammootty and in Annan Thambi, she is competing with the beautiful Lakshmi Rai for the superstar’s attention. Nothing to really worry as Mammootty is playing dual role as Annan Thambi.
