There is a strong tussle going on between director Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Paramjeet Singh over Salman-starrer London Dreams – both claiming rights over the film's script. Singh is all set to start London Dreams with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif with Vipul Shah as director. But Santoshi has now warned against making the film without his permission.
When contacted, Rajkumar Santoshi, who has written the original script, says, "How can they start shooting without taking my permission? I still hold the film's script rights as I have written it. It's okay I'm not directing it anymore but how can they go ahead like this with a whole new set-up? It will be unprofessional. I'm willing to sit down for a discussion with them."
Paramjeet Singh, the producer of the film was stunned but laughed it off, saying, "I have a contract signed by Santoshi in which it's written that he was paid to write the script and I have already paid him. I have already incurred heavy losses and don't want to delay the film further. Everything will be on paper within a few days."
Rajkumar Santoshi had written the script of London Dreams keeping Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan in mind but when they declined to star in the project together, Santoshi signed on Salman and Ajay Devgan. But the movie was shelved after one schedule. The producer is planning to revive the project with Salman and Akshay Kumar now.
